About
Atraxia is a marketing consultancy from South India that provides Marketing Mix Modelling solutions tailored to small and mid-sized companies. While MMM is typically the preserve of large consultancies serving multinational clients, Atraxia's founding proposition was to bring the same rigour to smaller businesses, paired with bespoke marketing consulting.
The founders, with decades of experience in the field, needed a name and identity that reflected both their expertise and their approachability. I named the company and designed the brand identity.
Name
The name is derived from Ataraxia, a Greek word meaning tranquility or peace of mind. For a consultancy promising to bring clarity and confidence to its clients' marketing decisions, it felt like the right foundation.
The central tension in the brief was precision versus warmth: a data-driven firm that nonetheless needed to feel accessible to the smaller businesses it serves. The identity was built around that tension.
The logomark uses geometric forms, referencing the precision of a data-driven approach, arranged into a floral shape, suggesting bloom and growth. The rigor of the method, and the outcome it's meant to produce.
Design Concept
The wordmark is set in all-lowercase Helvetica: simple, versatile, and unpretentious. Its neutrality lets the logomark carry the personality while keeping the overall identity flexible enough to work across a wide range of client contexts.
A bright orange paired with warm neutrals completes the palette, enough energy to stand out, grounded enough to feel trustworthy.
